Pine Island Area Home Services annually schedules VITA during March to assist seniors with their taxes. The 2025 Tax Preparation Date will be Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

The VITA volunteer will assist clients at the Pine Island Senior Center, so clients should plan to spend the appointment time with the preparer rather than the drop-off method used during COVID. An appointment is necessary, and priority for appointments are given to PIAHS clients.  Call 507-356-2999 to schedule your appointment today.

When clients are scheduled for an appointment, they will need to swing by the PIAHS office to pick up paperwork that needs to be completed beforehand. Clients will also need to bring the following to their appointment: photo ID, last year’s return, social security card, any forms received, and direct deposit information (checkbook or card/ statement from bank).

​Coffee with a Cop (Triad):   Join us at the Senior Center at 12:00 during the 4th Wednesday of each month for this session.
Topics will vary to address the needs and concerns of our seniors.

The Foot Care Clinic coordinated by PIAHS is offered on the second Thursday of the month at City Centre Apartments, 300 1st Ave SE in Pine Island. Our nurse offers 30-minute appointments between 9 am and 12 pm.

Call 507-356-2999 if you are 65 years of age and older to schedule an appointment during the Foot Care Clinic as there are limited spots available.  Cost is $18 per session.

​Pine Island Area Home Services is looking for a volunteer nurse to help with our Footcare Clinic, which is held on the second Tuesday of every month. The clinic is held at a local senior apartment building from 9 a.m. until noon, with the last half hour used for blood pressure checks.
